This place is a hidden gem! The views are simply breathtaking — right in front of waterfalls, with stunning sunsets and sunrises that make you pause and soak it all in. If the sky is clear, the stargazing is incredible too. The property offers bonfires which make for cozy evenings, and the service was warm and attentive throughout our stay.

From Zong Alpine Retreat, Sissu, Sissu Waterfall is just a short drive away within the village. Head towards Sissu Lake and the waterfall viewpoint; the journey takes approximately 5–10 minutes by car

The Ghepan Lake

From Zong Alpine Retreat in Sissu to Ghepan Lake, drive towards Labrang village or the Sarkhang trailhead, where the trek begins. The drive takes around 15–30 minutes, followed by a challenging high-altitude trek of approximately 5–7 hours one way. Plan for a full-day adventure or an overnight trek, and hire a local guide for a safer journey along the steep mountain trail.

From Zong Sissu to Shinkula Pass, drive towards Keylong via Tandi and Jispa, then continue to Darcha. From Darcha, follow the mountain road uphill to Shinkula Pass. The journey takes approximately 3–5 hours one way, depending on road conditions and weather.

From Zong Sissu to Deepak Tal, drive towards Tandi, Keylong, Jispa, and Darcha along the Manali–Leh Highway. Deepak Tal is located beyond Darcha, and the journey takes approximately 2–3 hours one way, depending on road conditions and weather.
